I.	Project Assistant Level III
	Essential Qualifications	1st class M.Sc. in Plant Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry with two years research experience in plant molecular biology and biotechnology.
	Job requirement	Characterization of transcription factors and analyzing of regulatory elements for transgene expression and development of transgenics.
II.	Project Assistant Level II
	Essential Qualifications	1st class M.Sc in Plant Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry
	Job requirement	Plant genetic transformation and molecular biology.
III.	Project Assistant Level I
	Essential Qualifications	1st class B.Sc. with Botany as one of the subject.
	Job requirement	Lab work related to plant molecular biology and maintenance of transgenic plants.
	Stipend	For Project Assistant Level-III positions Rs.12000/- p.m. (Consolidated) Project Assistant Level-II positions Rs.10000/- p.m. (Consolidated) and Project Assistant Level-I position Rs.7000/-p.m. (Consolidated). Candidates who are M.Sc. in one of the above subjects and CSIR-UGC NET qualified (JRF) are also invited to join directly as JRF.
	Date and Venue of Interview	On 15-11-2007 at 11.00 A.M. at Conference Room, Genetic Block, NBRI, Lucknow

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Upper age limit not exceeding 30 years for Project Assistant Level III and 28 years for Project Assistant Level II & Level Ias on the date of interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates 05 years and OBC candidates 03 years as per Government of India instructions.
2. The Application form will be provided at the venue on the date. However candidate may download the application form in advance from the website www.nbri-lko.org. At the time of interview candidates should bring attested copies of certificate of all passed examination starting from matriculation, date of birth, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate etc.. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and result awaited will not be considered. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at venue on date 30 minutes before the scheduled time for necessary formalities.
3. Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions will be held for shortlisting the candidates for interview. The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Selection Committee and based on their performance in the interview, a panel of recommended candidates will be formed The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the respective field in the sponsored project in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee.
4. The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and co terminus with the sponsored projects. Further the above stipend is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the emoluments in the sponsored project.
5. Candidate who strictly fulfill the eligibility and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects only should turn up for floating interview to avoid any inconvenience.
